First, to determine the nature of your condition and form an effective treatment plan, a careful patient history will be taken. The doctor will then perform a chiropractic examination, which will include orthopedic and neurologic tests. Based on the findings from this information, the doctor may also take x-rays to further diagnose the problem and to determine the best course of treatment.
In addition to safe, effective chiropractic adjustments, other treatment options may include:
- Therapeutic exercise to help strengthen and stabilize the condition
- Electrical muscle stimulation
- Interferential current therapy
- Traction therapy
- Ultrasound therapy
- Heat therapy
- Cryotherapy (ice)
- Nutritional counseling, including recommendations regarding supplements or herbal remedies
- Recommendations on lifestyle changes
Conditions Treated
Some of the conditions that we treat are simply caused by the stresses and strains of daily life. Other problems arise from work-related injuries, automobile accidents, falls, or other types of accidents.
